Well - Sometimes you just never know...

After having shortness of breath overnight and checking in with my Dr. this morning I was sent to the ER for testing and turns out I have a Pulmonary Embolism (one clot in the lower lobe of the right lung).
I have been admitted the hospital and am on heparin and cumadin and might not get out till Monday - just what i had planned for the weekend....

Things are steady and looking good now - but you just never know....

Thanks Kevin - I am being well taken care of...

I had a laproscopic repair with mesh.

I had the lap repair also. The worst for me was that the CO2 to needed to expand the chest cavity either hurt like hell or did not get expelled fully. The pressure was far worse than the mesh. Recovery-wise I felt pain from micro-tears as the tissue healed into the mesh. They say that is over rather quickly but I think many people have such a short range of motion that they heal fast at a shortened muscle length. I used 5lb clubbells and joint mobility along with small sets of 16kg kettlebell work to finally get to normal but it was six months before I stopped feeling twinges now I feel great. Its amazing what the body can cope with and what feels normal. I was compensating for the hernias for many years without realizing it. Get well soon Brett. Your blog is great and I learn much from you and hope to one day get to one of your seminars.
